Love this quote…

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

HE DID IT!

Last night Jude slept from about 9:30 till 6:45 this morning!!! I feel like a new woman! I’m sure he’s not done with some of those every 2 hour feeding nights, but hopefully this is the start of some more sleep for Mommy! Thank you little Jude!

A Wonderful Weekend:)

We had my parents and grandparents in town this weekend from Seattle for a fun visit. Jude was dedicated at church on Sunday, looking dashing in his baby blue sweater and spitting up on Daddy in front of the church.:)
Having my family down here was a blast. My grandparents hadn’t been down to visit yet so we loved showing them our life here and the beautiful coast. It even got sunny enough on Monday to take them to the ocean! Baby Jude was covered in love and kisses from his grandparents and great grandparents and entertained us all with his newfound belly laughs. We were so sad to see them go but look forward to more visits. It’s hard living so far from my family! I’m blessed to have such supportive parents and grandparents.

Good Morning…

Filed under: The Kid - Jess @ 9:49 am

A week ago Andrew left for his conference in Colorado (check out his blog for more on his trip) and finally returns tonight! Jude and I missed him tons and looked forward to the daily phone calls. But despite the love of my life being in another state I’ve had a great week. Why you ask? Well, my dear cousin Siobhan came to visit from Seattle for part of the week and we had a blast catching up and spending uninterupted girl time together, with, of coarse, little Jude:). We went to dinner, Arts Alive, walking in the bird sanctuary, watched chick flicks that our hubbies would hate:), caught up on eachother’s lives, and watched Jude’s every coo and smile. Jude had his first bath in the kitchen sink and rewarded us with a huge cloud of liquid poo in the water to mark the occasion! (Don’t worry honey, I cleaned the sink really well!)
Jude loved his Aunty being here as much as I did and loved having so much attention. We said goodbye at the airport and Jude and I (a little teary eyed) drove off, only to get a phone call a little later from Siobhan saying her flight was delayed! You gotta love the Eureka fog! She made it to San Fran finally, only to have another delay, but finally made it back to Seattle.
An update on Jude- he finally let out a real baby laugh! I was kissing and tickling his neck this morning and he made the cutest little laughing sound I’ve ever heard! He’ll be 3 months old next week and continues to be my little bundle of joy in so many ways.
