No more soft-porn
Over the last year or so Jess and I have noticed how rank internet advertising is getting. A while back Jess was looking up a recipe on a well known site and in the sidebar there was a very explicit advertisement for a ‘dating’ site, that could only be labeled as pornography. Even email providers like Yahoo and Hotmail have this kind of advertising now which show pretty elicit pictures.
A friend of mine recently pointed me to an add-on for the web browser Firefox that completely blocks banner advertisements. I tried it out…and it works. If you don’t use Firefox already for web browsing you can download it here, then download the advertisement blocker here.
