Let the Christmas season begin!
Andrew says I can officially listen to Christmas music now! (I always get excited and want to bust it out before Thanksgiving which he’s not so into:) We’re back from a wonderful end-of-the-week Thanksgiving-fest with my family… Thursday we were at my Aunt Debra’s cozy house- had tons of fun hanging out with everyone and seeing the kiddos play. Jude had a blast playing with so many little ones around his size. And guess what was set up in the kitchen? Yep- a kid’s table!! (see last blog post for more on why that line is italicized!)
The meal was excellent and the company even better, and then Thanksgiving night my brother and sis-in-law and their 3 kids spent the night at my parents house with us and we had a bowling match on my nephew’s Wii (if only I was as good in real life as I was on Wii), hunted in the woods for holly to decorate with, and spent lots of fun time together which we haven’t had much of these past few years. All around a great time with my parents and family, and only 5 hours to drive which wasn’t so bad…the snow dusted trees along the way gave an amazing back drop to our cozy drive home.
It’s in the 20’s here- and the lake is starting to freeze over! Happy Winter! Here’s a few pics from out trip…
