Icicles & Snow flurries

Filed under: The Kid, General - Jess @ 10:29 am

We woke up to even more snow this morning- and still coming down. Big icicles hang off the roof and the snow has covered our back porch. Yesterday Jude and I played outside when the temp hit 25 degrees but unless it stops snowing we’ll stay in today. I made a big pot of Italian Tortellini soup last night- yum! Jude’s napping now, and I’m off to make some tea and tackle the laundry pile. Here’s a picture from a few days ago of Jude tasting an icicle…

  1. I don’t mean to put a damper on your fun, but I’m just being a grandmom here — icicles from the roof may not be clean. Think about what’s ON the roof.

And yes, we used to eat them when we were kids!

  2. Yeah, you’re right. I totally forgot that we have those manure shingles. Never again Jude!

  3. “manure shingles?” You’re kidding, right? I hope not. It all the other toxins on the roof. But it’s your choice…
