Martian Child
No, not Jude!:)
We watched ‘Martian Child’ last night and I would definately recommend it to anyone- just have tissue handy! It’s one of the best movies I’ve seen lately.
And it’s snowing here. Yep- lots of wispy white flakes starting to fall. There were some robins in the tree outside our apartment that are probably wondering just what is going on!
In other news on the other side of the globe… the ‘Living Goddess’ in Nepal has stepped down to rejoin her family- Click Here to read the article from Yahoo’s home page. I led two teams to Nepal in my time with Youth With a Mission, and absolutely fell in love with the people and the land. Nepal is home to the Himalaya mountains, and is a Hindu nation- believing in many gods, including, as the above mentioned article explains, a ‘living goddess’ chosen from a certain family line, and believed to be the living incarnate of Kali, one of their most powerful goddesses. On one of my trips to Nepal, while exploring Kathmandu, our team was at the temple she lives in and saw her from a distance.
I’ll have to post pictures of my Nepal trips sometime- they are beautiful. A piece of my heart is still there and I do plan on going back someday!
