Peach harvest

Here’s our harvest of peaches from the backyard tree!
Jude loves to hold a peach in each hand and chow down.

  1. ohhh yum! you should freeze a ton and bust them out during late fall/early winter. i wish i could *zap* myself over to your house and eat a bunch with Jude.

  2. Yes- that’s what we’re (I:) am doing- I don’t know if my hand can hold up from all the peeling and chopping but I’ll press on… when you come in Nov. I’ll serve you up some peaches!

  3. Those peaches look sooooo.. good!! I can see why Jude loves them. I know they do freeze well and you’ll be enjoying them in the wintery months to come!

  4. I’m assuming you know to dip them in boiling water before peeling so the skins just slip off. Are you putting any up in bottles? Just put 1 250mg vit C tablet and 2 tbs sugar in the bottom of 1 qt jar, layer tightly pitted side down, top off with boiling water, assemble lids and process in hot water bath for the required time. Then you don’t have to worry about the power going off and loosing the frozen fruit. I do them both way, bottled to eat later, frozen to make jam or pie later. call if you need processing times.
