Art cards
For baby~ bold black, white, and red images to catch his little eye. Babies eyesight develops for about the first 6 months of life. In the first month or 2 they are able to focus on high contrast patterns, light and dark, and most importantly- a face about 6 inches away from theirs. I’ve seen similar cards to these for sale on Etsy and decided to just make my own with a few sharpies, stamped images of an owl and monkey, thick card stock, and ‘laminate’ them using contact paper. They would be cute hanging by a changing table or above a crib.
Jude loves to color, paint, draw, ‘write lists’, etc. and got into making some of his own art cards which he now requests frequently. I try to rotate what kind of coloring tool I give him- paint, markers, crayons, and I think this keeps projects fresh even if that’s the only thing different than the day before. The other day I heard him playing with his cars and he made one car say to the other, ‘Oh- do you want to make some art?’ That’s my boy!:)

Love those ‘creative pursuits’!!!
