We had such a fun weekend- dinner with good friends, picking blueberries, having a family movie night watching Milo & Otis, and hanging out in down town Spokane. Andrew preached yesterday morning- it was a powerful message and I am so thankful for a husband with vision, purpose and passion like he has.

Last night we ate out at P.F. Chang’s, (free lettuce wraps through July ya’ll!) walked around Riverfront Park, and then enjoyed some of the Royal Fireworks Festival with our friends. The night ended with a great fireworks show, although poor Jude got so scared that Andrew had to walk a ways away and stand under a tree with him so he would calm down. All morning he has told me over and over again how scared he was of the fireworks that went ‘BAM!’ and how Papa held him so he wouldn’t be so scared!:) Owen was in my arms during the show and startled at every bang, but no crying for him- such an easy going little fellow!

We’re trying to pack in as much family time as we can in these few short weeks between Andrew being away at camp and his upcoming trip to China. I miss him like crazy when he’s away but I am so thankful that we are able to pursue our passions (here and abroad) and at least one of us can get back to China this year and work with the precious kids at the orphanage we were at in November.
